What is Waldorf

Developed by Rudolph Steiner in 1919, Waldorf Education emphasizes the role of imagination in learning and focuses on educating each child through a hands-on, holistic approach. Subjects are taught artistically, using movement, drawing, painting, music, storytelling, and rhyme. Teachers bring materials to life and provide the developing child with a lifelong sense of wonder, and a joy of learning. Waldorf teachers are dedicated to creating a genuine love of learning within each child and strive to transform schooling into an art that educates the whole child, “head, heart, and hands.”
